Summer Church Activities
We have begun our Summer Sunday Worship schedule. We meet in the Fellowship Hall at 9 am each Sunday morning for worship. What is nice about the time is that it frees up more of your Sunday for other activities. During the summer we will have a summer picnic on the 28th of July at the Bangor Park. The worship service that Sunday will begin at 10 am followed by a shared lunch. We will announce what to bring for the worship/fellowship event. We are always in need of Sunday bulletin art. If any of you re so inclined, adults and children, please draw, paint, photograph or sketch a religious theme and I will work it into a bulletin cover. There will always be paper and drawing tools at the back table in the fellowship hall. Encourage your children or grandchildren to draw either during worship or fellowship following worship. In addition, let me know if any of your would like to attend a Saturday morning art camp at church. We would meet for an hour or two, have some refreshments and enjoy a structured time together to do bulletins for worship. As for summer worship, let me know if you have a favorite hymn you would like sung in worship. If you would like to read or participate in worship, also let me know. We always encourage people to participate in worship and welcome your talents. Bethann, our pianist, is welcoming people to sing solos or duets. Please talk with her or me about singing. This is probably the most important message. Invite someone to church with you on Sunday mornings. We need to grow as a congregation. Ask someone to come to church, offer to pick them up and bring them along Tell them about what Jesus means to you. Tell them what church means to you. I have heard it from many of you that attending church is a joyous way to start your day on Sunday mornings. You come to worship and to share your life with others in fellowship. We are a warm and friendly place with warm, friendly and caring folks who share God's love in loving each other. Have a fun-filled and blessed summer. May God's peace find you and rest in your heart. - Pastor Larry Laine Vacation Bible School
